I had cause to investigate here and came across a forgotten folder of work done some years ago in and around the parish of Old Swinford from about 1700 to 1851. My gr grandfather Benjamin Bridgwater moved from Old Swinford to the Chesterfield area of Derbyshire sometime before 1861 and these records involve his ancestry. The names in addition to Bridgwater are Park(e)s; Nail; Liddell; Hodgett, and, of course, any number of marriage partners. I will be pleased to pass on such information as I have to anyone researching these names. The earliest record is the marriage of Joseph Liddell to Margery Trevor in 1707.
