Type in surname and years - you will not see a list of names but you can order the documents online. Or go to the homepage and search out Royal Navy.
It is also helpful to use some form of capitals in your sentences as it is sometimes difficult to read for old eyes.

I found my ancestors service records who also served and died at the Battle of Jutland in catalogue reference ADM188 at the National Archives. I suspect your Benjamin Halsey's records would be amongst ADM188/729.

Hi Folks
Upon reading this thread, I need to know how to find more info on my Grandfather's brother - Ernest Golley. He was in the Navy and fought at Jutland but I have no info on the ship, his rank at the time and his service #. He retired after the 2nd ww as a Chief Petty Officer
Any help would be appreciated
Colin

The names of the Ships that fought during Jutland are:
Ardent

Fortune
Malaya
Obdurate
Onslaught
Tipperary
Turbulent
Could not find Ernest Golley on my Jutland CD. Try www dot fhindexes dot co dot uk or TNA and CWGC.

Try www dot battleofjutland co uk. It includes the Roll of Honour, ships' details, Damage Reports, C-in-Cs despatch, Ephemera. It came free with the Ships List CD I bought.
It also said in the introduction that there were 8 men with alias's and that they had been cross matched to each other.
