ive found the grave stone of my gr gr uncle albert brock in glasnevin dublin , simply says died ludd palestine 4 may 1922 .
(its john and annies grave , albert not buried here)
he was born limerick 11 october 1885 to john brock and annie .
john was in royal artillery for 25 years , im assuming albert followed him .
i had quick look at CWGC , nothing .
i have no other info on albert , hes not on census for 1901 or 1911 in ireland .
if he was military would he appear on english census ?
any ideas , news , or pointers would be great . thanks very much .

Nothing in S.D.G.W., nothing in Medal Rolls for an Albert Brock in the Artillery.

Neither CWGC nor SDGW cover 1922 I'm afraid.
You could go on Findmypast and check the overseas deaths (check all overseas deaths, not just army)
I wouldn't assume he was Army and indeed Royal Artillery. Seems like that's just an assumption based on the fact his father was.

"if he was military would he appear on english census ?"
If his unit happened to be in England at the time, then yes.
If not, then no. But worth a look

Is it possible he joined the Palestine Gendarmerie - a large number of Irishmen sailed there in 1922 to augment the existing force. I believe many of them had been in the RIC.

Albert BROCK died 4th May 922 as Constable,Palestine Gendarmerie,of Natural Causes and was buried at sea en route, see policememorial.org.uk
Lud probably refers to Lod also known as Lydda,in the then Palestine.-
