Dear All
Has anyone found a way of searching the 1841 by address? I am still trying to track my bloomin' Simpsons and in 1842 William marries Mary Ann Sarah Parker and their residence at time of marriage is Paradise Street Lambeth. Having tried to find him/and her by name including variations together and apart - I thought since they got married in January 1842 apparently living at the same address that might be worth a shot.

Hi,
I have checked Paradise Street in Lambeth for you in the 1841 Census and neither William or Mary Ann Sarah are there.
I also had a quick look for them both in the Census but there are so many that you'd be spoilt for choice. Do you have any further details such as age or occupation to try and pin them down?

Thanks very much for this. Mary Ann Sarah Parker born 3 Sept 1825 St John the Evangelist, Westminster, father George musical Instrument Maker; mother Elizabeth (?). George was deceased at the time of her marriage to William in January 1842. William was born abt 1819 according to the 1851 census.
I have one William who might be him in the 1841 HO107;685;folio 26 page 47 but I cannot find her and hoped an address search might be the answer. Clearly not.
How did you check by address? Am much impressed!

Hi,
I've checked all the Mary/Mary Ann parkers around the right age but cannot find one living with a mother called Elizabeth. Actually that's not true, I did find one, father George, mother Elizabeth, but dad was a glass polisher and Mary wasn't born in the county.
The website I use has a street search facility but like most things transcribed, the street names are only as good as the transcriber. This time your street was there and I just clicked onto the scanned image.
Sorry I could be of more help to you.
