Piercebridge-Manfield

My GGrandmother was born in Piercebridge but the only birth I can find is in manfield. Could she have been born in Piercebridge and christened in Manfield ?

The parishes of Piercebridge and Manfield with Cliffe are on oppsing sides of the R Tees. Piercebridge in Durham and Manfield in North Yorkshire. There is however a part of the "Cliffe" side that people refer to as Piercebridge. The celebrated inn The George , Piercebridge (of Grandfather Clock fame) is actually on the Cliffe side and would come within the Manfield with Cliffe parish. Could this be the reason? Jim |banghead|
