Well, today was a big surprise getting an email from my "rude" cousin in Tadworth! I was right with all the information I had gathered and confirmed and sent to my cousin (along with the photos). She sounds nice and he doesn't sound too bad. I am so excited that I have finally closed the circle on my dad's siblings. The daughter had read the letter I sent him, but I must have had the wrong address for her and must now email her to try and get it from her old address or it will be returned to me. Oh dear! I'm just stupid from glee! |jumphappy |jumphappy

She has filled in the blanks pretty well and I hope that we will have a long friendship.:D

Thanks Jan - It has been difficult with so little information to go on! I have even amazed myself on this one :D

Mutley - You are so right about how strange it is that who we think may be rude often are the nicest! I think my other cousin is not only rude but cruel |scold| but I obviously have a better life.

Well I got a letter yesterday with photos and news clippings about my cousin. No pic of my uncle which I really wanted but the likeness is there anyway. I have already scanned and saved to everywhere and returned them as they were originals. I also wished my cousin a happy 81st birthday, and he really is sweet and spry. The hand writing was so familiar to my dad's too! I hope that he will be able to fill me in on a bit more. Most of it was about his life as a pc at Tooting Police Station. :D Really made my day:D

Christine - I don't know how I missed that! What our eyes see and don't see. |blush| No my cousin doesn't have internet access, it was from the daughter and she is not an internetty person. She was nice to respond and I think she already knew he had been rude and was making amends for it without actually saying so. I have been reading more of his little notes from back of pics and he really is a sweetie :D
