Hi everyone
Would anyone know of an on-line site which would have passenger lists for people travelling to Australia or Tasmania circa 1850's.
I know the ships and have surnames from various Aus sites but can't pin down whether its my family or not, so was wondering if there is any site which records them LEAVING the UK rather than Arriving abroad.
Any information much appreciated

http://www.cyndislist.com/ships.htm
is the gateway for many other sites.
It's worth re-searching every few months because new sites get added and existing sites often have further information added.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, my PC's been playing up a bit - all sorted now.
Thanks very much for the web site.

For those voluntarily emigrating, there are few records available prior to 1890, when Outward Passenger Lists begin with document class BT27 at The National Archives, Kew.

Thanks Geoffers.
Even a negative helps. Back to the elimination process then. :)
