James HULME (weaver) and Mary HOLTHAM (dates of birth unknown) were married on 12th April 1837 by Rev. Heathcote, vicar of the parish church in Leek, Staffordshire. They moved to Macclesfield to work as silk-weavers.
Their only son, my great-grandfather Thomas Joseph Hulme, was born in Bank Top (probably Wildboarclough), Macclesfield on June 27th 1840.
James and Mary both died in 1846, leaving Thomas an orphan.
Does anybody have any further information, please, about James Hulme and/or Mary Holtham? I would be most grateful.
