SNELLs in Sussex in 1871

I am trying to locate a Thomas SNELL born in Chulmleigh, Devon around 1814. I believe he moved to Sussex sometime after 1851 and is still there in Brighton in 1881.

I wonder if anyone is able to Locate Thomas in Sussex in 1871?

Hi Trish

Many thanks for finding Thomas in 1871 for me. I know his father was a well to do farmer in Devon but I'm not sure how Thomas managed to be rich enough to retire. Thomas was one of the younger children. Perhaps he married well and Ann came from money.

At least it looks like I have the right guy after all.
