I've just discovered B-G.com. I don't know whether we will use it much because we have other family history programmes active. The resources are what attracted me. The general research guidance is useful too, so I've added the website to my favourites. The forums can be useful, but can also prove a distraction from time needed to do the research. I have much to do even though I've been intermitently researching for 40 years, as has my wife, who has also registered today. My wife especially has benefitted from links to other researchers by internet. Our first horror story of the internet was a Texan changing my wife's Welsh ancestry that her great grandfather was born in Texas. Welshmen of the Rhondda unite! I hope that we record our Family history carefully because we have lived in many places as our children's birth certificates testify.
That's all for an introduction. I may not return for a while.
