Trying to find out in what year my Grandmother Kathleen Mabel Bennett came to South Africa. I presume it was approx 1898 to 1902 as she was already married in Durban in 1902 and her first child was born there. She married John Louis (Fourie?) Hubbard.

She appears on the 1891 census (Class: RG12; Piece: 460; Folio 51; Page 21)

Have found the passenger list on Findmypast. The whole family sailed from Southampton to Natal on board the Lismore Castle departing 4th August 1894

John BENNETT married Lydia WAKEFIELD September quarter 1877 Croydon (volume 2a page 419)

Their children (who all went to Natal) were:

John Stanley born June quarter 1880 Croydon
Herbert born December quarter 1881 Pancras (registration district for Kentish Town)
Kathleen Mabel born March quarter 1885 Croydon
Edgar Wallace born September quarter 1878 Brighton
