Criminal Registers 1791-1892

Hi all, I'm not sure if I am allowed to post this thread but I have just read in my genealogy magazine that a certain website beginning with A is advertising the World Archives Project and the need for help with various projects including Criminal Registers. I can post the link if it's ok to do so.

I would say no you can't put a link and my reasoning is this.

The site says that all indexes will remain free to view.

The original documents will not be free to view. Ancestry is a commercial site and is doing these things to make money.

Links to commercial sites are not allowed on this forum, no matter how altruistic the blurb would make it look.

So sorry you can't put a link. This does not prevent you putting the name of the site or the project into your message, after all I found it easily without a link so I am sure that most other people can do that too.
