just found an ancestor in Dublin in 1911 census, looking for Him for ages, funny part of it being is he is on the census as Living on a Row Boat for pleasure. Love it, had the biggest chuckle i ever did have.

There was loads of them! Do you think it just happened that they were on a jaunt on the night of the census?!

Sandycove, where your row boat was taken in the census, is a famous Dublin location because of featuring in James Joyce's "Ulysses". The Martello Tower at Sandycove is now a museum dedicated to Joyce. I wondered, maybe they might have some photos of the bay in the 1900s?
