Hi,
I have a doozy of a |banghead|.
Mary Gray came to Tasmania as a convict in 1821 (for stealing some ribbon).
It is stated on her papers that she was married to a Peter Gray (shoemaker).
I have not been able to find out anything about Mary prior to her being convicted. SHe was convicted in Hull Yorkshire. I think she originated from Chester. I found some records about a Mary Gray who was prosecuted for being a vagabond, but was found not guilty but I don't know whether this is the same person. I found something on a Peter Gray in Scotland (journeyman), unfortunately I forgot to save the information so will need to do another search.
Is there anyone out there researching the Gray's who could give me some help. |bowdown|
Regards
