Hi everyone.
Thanks to a lot of help from a lot of sources (Barrie Wise another lister especially) I have narrowed my search down quite a lot.
I have a Elizabeth Talbot married to a Henry Coram May 15 1823 in Holcombe Rogus, Devon. The family certainly lived, or used the church, at Wellington in Somerset as at least two of their children were baptised there including an Elizabeth Talbot Coram born 1824.
I am now hunting for Henry Corams death and Elizabeths re-marriage to (I hope) a William Howe of Bristol (possibly Army). An Elizabeth Howe with a daughter Elizabeth Talbot Coram ended up in Tasmania circa 1836 or before.
Would appreciate if listers could keep eyes peeled for either Henry Coram death or Elizabeth Coram marriage between the years 1829 - 1836.
Any information much appreciated. :)

Hi

You may be able to pin down the marriage by using the Somerset or Devon marriage indexes. The Somerset one is available online very cheaply at family history online together with a wealth of other stuff.

The Devon index is not available online but you can request a surname lookup via devonfhs who are very friendly and prompt!

Hope that's of use

Rob

Thanks for the info Rob.
I will get in touch with the Devon address you advise. Had a look on the other site but no joy there. So they didn't get married in Somerset or at least according to the list they didn't.
Does anyone know about deaths in Somerset I wonder. Are they indexed anywhere?
