William James Gale prior to 1871

I'm looking for any information regarding my G Grandfather William James Gale b Reading 1855. I have information from 1871, 1881 and 1901 census, but unfortunately in 1871 he was living with his grandparents James and Elizabeth NOKES, I do not have any clues regarding his mother and father or possible siblings.
