Looking for where Absalom BOUCHER came from & who his parents were. He married Priscilla Coombs in 1825. Marriage reg. states "of the Parish of Burton Bradstock" for Absalom, & "of this Parish" (Bridport) for Priscilla. Absalom owned/operated 3 farms-2 in Burton Bradstock & 1 in Shipton Gorge (Thithe Apportionments). Have him on 1841 Census of Symondsbury.
He died in 1848 leaving Priscilla with the following children:
Priscilla Stevens Chilcott b: 1826(nee Boucher) m: Robert Knight Chilcott
Robert Stevens Boucher b: 1828 m: Elizabeth Chilcott
Sabina Jane Boucher b: 1830 m: ? Gerrard
William Coombs Boucher b: 1832 m: Jane Lery
Ann Roberts Boucher b: 1835 m: Abel Burwood
George Boucher b: 1841 m: Phoebe Clark moved to Guernsey
Robert Boucher b: 1844
On the 1851 Census Priscilla has 3 "Coombs" children living with her as well:
George Coombs "Son In Law" 11 from Newington, London
Thomas Coombs "Son in Law" 7 from Newington, London
Julia Coombs "Daughter In Law" 5 months from Burton Bradstock
Any information on Absalom Boucher prior to 1825 & who these (3) extra children were, would be very much appreciated.
