I'm not aware of a single web-site for Norfolk suicides. If you could provide a little more information, we might be able to point you in the right direction.

When and where was this? If it was recent, please do not mention a name as this may cause distress to any relatives who might be using a search engine.

Depending on the date, there may be newspaper reports, conroners' inquests, parish register notes, death certificates, etc.

Sorry Geoffers,
Not thinking straight was i. The only information i have is George Edaward Mills Born Nov. 1896 comitted suicide between 1924 - 1940. He was working as a chef in Norwich at a hotel called The Maid's Head. Tried many avenues but no success.

I would suggest that you need to search the GRO death indexes. This is of course a manual search quarter-by-quarter - I know of no magic database covering that period that will give you an answer just by typing in a name.

The fact that he was working in Norfolk doesn't mean that he did the deed there.

I have just looked through the GRO (General Register Office) index for deaths on findmypast from Jan quarter 1924 to Dec quarter 1940 and while there are at least two George MILLS every quarter there are only two that are around the right age.

Mills GEorge age 32 Maidstone 2a 1389 March quarter 1924.

Mills George age 33 London C 1c 19 december quarter 1930

Before you dismiss these as not the right place or right age you have to remember that the person who reported his death would give his age and they would only know what they had been told. If it was the coroner as it probably was if it was suicide then the people who told him could have been just friends or employers or work mates. He could have lied about his age, his name, just about anything.
You could try contacting local libraries close to where you think he might have been and see if they have a newspaper report in a local paper.

Oh, here's another thought. He could have called himself Edward George, or just Edward ...
