Hello all.
If anyone has access to the 1841 or 1851 census I would appreciate a look up for a friend who is stuck on his family tree.
I would expect the entry to read something like:-
William RISING Head
Unknown Wife
Thomas RISING Son born c1837 Castle Burgh, Suffolk
Other family members unknown but may include
William Son
Elizabeth Daughter
A wedding certificate from 1863 shows Thomas RISING and Eliza Elizabeth Lowe JENKINSON, Thomas's father is shown as William, a mariner. Witnesses at marriage, William and Elizabeth may be grooms siblings or possibly parents?
No sign of the groom and his family in Norfolk 1851. Later Census reports say Thomas was born Castle Burgh, Suffolk, Suspected family include a marriage in Castle Burgh in 1856 so I must assume the family are still in Suffolk 1851 but marriage in Great Yarmouth 1863 means family may be in Norfolk or Suffolk in 1861
If I can reciprocate with research in Northumberland or Durham I would be delighted to do so.
Many thanks
Paul
