Hello
I'm hoping someone can help with a 1861 look up in the All Souls district in Marylebone. I'm hoping to find James Anderson, his wife Harriet and at least 1 child also named Harriet at 17 Saville Street.
Many thanks. elldrick

Thank you keith,my g g grnndmother Harriet's birth cert.gives 17 Saville Street as her place of birth in 1860. I have found a James and Harriet Anderson at number 8 in the 1871 census but no daughter named Harriet who would be 11 at that time. many thanks for looking - elldrick

Don't forget that street renumbering was a not uncommon practise in those days. So it is just possible that what was No 17 became No 8 10 years later.

I had thought of that Ron but my James was a Brewers Drayman and the James at number 8 was a Japaner (something to do with lacquering furniture I believe) and there was no daughter Harriet. Although she could have been in service I suppose.
Thanks for your thoughts-elldrick
