James ANDREW from Redruth

Hello all

Can anyone help a newbie with their first search for information? I would like to know more about my great grandfather's family. His name is James Andrew and he was born in 1842 in Redruth. He moved to Brixton, met his wife Maria Hamby from Ipswich, and had three children, including Lionel Andrew, my grandfather. The family moved to Fulham where James died in February 1906.

I have looked at the indexes and there are at least two James Andrews born in Redruth in 1842. Can anyone suggest how I can go about narrowing down the search?

If you get the marriage certificate for James and Maria it will give you the fathers name for both, you can make an informed choice from there.
