I have found a George and Louise McKay on the 1930 census with a daughter Elizabeth, but no Ronald.

That's the wrong family the eldest son had moved away and married in 1922. I have found George the father on the 1910,1920 & 1930 Census, also Ronald on the 1930 Census.

have the marriage of a George R McKay in Kings, NY, 9 February 1924.

No information on the bride, but I'd be surprised if that's not the one - they seem to have things pretty well covered as far as grooms are concerned.

That's the one, George Ronald McKay, they lived in kings on the 1930 Census thanks for the lead, thats all I need, you learn something every day.

The Italian Genealogical group, how did you find that one, if I may enquire?

I honestly can't remember - I can't think of anyone of my own who it would be useful for, so I expect my wife found it originally, her family are scattered all over the globe. Like a lot of things, I just keep it bookmarked on the basis that it might come in handy one day - like today!
