2557 Pte. John Richards

I am researching my grandfather's history. I have a medal he was awarded when serving in 4th Btn King's Royal Rifles Corps in India. It is dated 1891 (N.E.Frontier).
Where could I look to find any information re. his service in India, his date of discharge, anything?

Providing he wasn't in WW1 and providing he didn't die in service, you have a good chance of finding some useful documents.

If i's as clear as mud, please ask and I'll try to clarify things for you.
