Could someone look for Sarah Berry in the 1871 Census?
According to her Marriage Cert in 1872, she was living in Batter Street, Plymouth, and was 24 then. Her father is shown as William Berry (deceased), a Wool Weaver. On later Censuses her birth place is shown as Plymouth.
Do they appear on any earlier Censuses?
Many thanks, Pete & Sylvia

There are a few Berrys and also Barrys and Burrys in the 1871 census for Plymouth but I don't see a Sarah. She's probably there somewhere but under a different spelling or different first name perhaps. Unfortunately, I'm not able to do a lookup by street name.
What was Sarah's married name? Maybe her future husband's family was living close by in 1871 and looking him up may lead to Sarah. Worth a shot, no?

Hi Trish,
Sarah was married to John Hill in 1872. John was a sailor, and another kind person has found him on board ship in the 1871 Census. He gives his address on his Marr Cert as 51 Wolsdon St, Plymouth. where his father, also John, and his family lived - we have 1871 Census for them! Wonder if Sarah's was an accommodation address?
Anyway, we'll keep our fingers crossed that something may come of your investigations
Many thanks for your efforts, Regards, Pete & Sylvia
