Hi - I'm new to this site and haven't had a chance to look round it yet!
I've been doing my family history for about 18 months now - it's mainly based on the Isle of Wight, but following various leads has taken me to London, Scotland, Australia and Canada! My main research is around the Wheeler family - with leads through Baxter, Burden, Weston, Wade, Henley, Whittington etc etc.

We have lots of forums that cover most subjects so think carefully about which one is the best to ask your question on. You only need to ask it once, wherever you are we will find you.

You could also try posting your surnames on the Surname Interests (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=404)Forum and see if you get any replies there.

Hi there. I am new too and also from the Isle of Wight. I have found the site very useful and have had answers very quickly. I am slowly getting used to the site and am researching my husband's family who are from East Sussex.
