I am wondering if the Lanner school records are available for this far back. I am looking for Philip Uren who would have been at school about 1820.

Unless someone with local knowledge comes along, perhaps the Cornwall Record Office (http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=307) may be able to help.

Thanks Jan , I will investigate that site.:) Wendy Jean
I think your best bet is Cornwall Record Office, but there is a Lanner Village website at http://www.lanner.org.uk/index.htm with contact details for various people. It might be worth your while contacting the Clerk of the Parish Council (see the 'Making Contact' link) as parish clerks are, very often, founts of local knowledge :)
Best wishes

Thanks Ann I'll do that. It is good to ask people with a lot more knowledge, where to find information. wendy jean
