ALEXANDER ELLIOT'S will

Hi there, Living here in WA. Australia it is hard to know where to start to look and find ALEXANDER ELLIOT'S will [my grandfather]. ALEXANDER died in 1944, I don't know where although he lived in Consett, Durahm for many years. I did find the death of an Alexander Elliot who died in Chalsea in 1944 . The instructions were that his will was to read with the whole family present and because of the war and his son, my father John Elliot living here in WA. the reading was delayed for eighteen months to two years. I know when Dad was there he stayed with his sister Phyllis in Newcastle-on-tyne so perhaps ALEXANDER he died there. It is a puzzle but I'm sure with your help will make some kind of advancement.
