John Clarke/Teresa Furtado

John Clarke married Teresa Furtado,he was an actor and she was a dancer/singer.He died in 1879.I am trying to find more info about these two people as they are in my family tree.Any help would be appreciated.I have googled them both but can only get the plays they appeared in and when they died.Iwould like more info if possible.

As you say there are obituaries in the newspapers and descriptions of their daughter Miss Furtado Clarke also performing. I don't know if you have read his obit but it says he had a 'photographic establishment'.

Also an article in 1868 saying Miss Teresa Furtado wrote to the papers to give a denial that she was about to marry a Benjamin Webster.

That's interesting, Teresa Furtado was a descendent of the first wife of Benjamin D'israeli, Teresa's father was Charles Furtado a popular pianist.

i havent read any obituaries about either of them,there isn't any info on john and very little info on teresa,when i googled teresa it was through her i got the plays that they were both in. i've tried different ways of googling teresa but it mainly gives info for nelly furtado.i would like to know more about teresa and john but can't find any more info on them and their children so if you could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it.
