New to the list.
My Great Uncle, Arthur Need Roberts was stationed at Brecknock Barracks in 1905 in the RAMC. He died of TB on 19/3/1905. Can anyone tell me where to search for his records? Circumstances don't seem to be covered in the WO series.
Coincidentally his brother John Charles Roberts was Bandmaster of 2nd Btn South Wales Borders 1906-1915.

Welcome to bgf!
What sort of records are you looking for? According to FreeBMD, his death was registered in the March quarter of 1905, and you might get useful information from his death certificate.
Another source might be the RAMC museum - their page on research is here http://www.ams-museum.org.uk/research.htm
good luck,
Lesley

Thankyou Lesley,
I have the death certificate, only information given is his rank and cause of death. The RAMC research site should be good, will give it a try.
Cheers,
Bob.

Brecon was the home depot of the South Wales Borderers (now incorporated into the Royal Regiment of Wales) and their website shows they have a museum at the Barracks in Brecon. This might be worth a shot.

I'm afraid records of men who died in service are notoriously difficult to find. Quite possibly they have been destroyed.
