Hi All,
I am researching the Drew's from Abingdon, from around 1800 to the present day. Majority of which were from Ock Street. I am looking for the parents of Richard Drew born c1815 . Richard married Mary Ann Pert in St Helens in 1834 they went on to have 11 children. I have come to a complete brick wall on tracing his parents.
If anyone has any information on this or any other Drew from Abingdon or surrounding area's it would be much appreciated.

Hi Ellen
I have a lot of information about the Drew families - their daughter married into my LEONARD family. You seem to have found another child, I only have the 10. I will make sure my notes are up to date and presentable and send them to you off-list.
There are several other people interest in this family. Have a look at the archives of the ROOTSWEB mailing lists for Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

Hiya Christopher,
I have sent you an email so that we can compare notes, I will check out the archives although I am in contact with a few researchers from Roots...... one turned out to be a 4th cousin !

Reading your threads I would also refer you to Rootsweb- I am in touch with a Rootsweb researcher who has given me relation links also to the Drew family of Abingdon. My direct relation is through the Huggins of Milton/Steventon which leads back to 11 century ancestors. This had been diligently researched by a Rootsweb researcher who kindly sent me pages and pages of data via e-mail

May I suggest to all DREW researchers they add their interest to OXSIL - it works with the mailing lists & message boards such as this, & is a great resouce!
