Rose and Crown, Bristol and many more??

Hello All!
I'm very new to BG and have already found it loads of help! Thanks!
I have a question though on my ggg grandfather (Henry Harvey) who was a Licensed Victualler on all census information that I have found.
On the lost pubs Bristol website I found him!
He was Victualler at the Rose and Crown on Narrow Wine Street, Bristol from 1834-1872 (when he passed away his stepdaughter took over and she is also recorded so I know I have found the correct record).
However a Henry Harvey was also listed on the website as being publican in Bristol at the following pubs too:
1847-51 Royal Oak, Prince Street
1851 Crown, Castle Mill Street
1852 Royal Box, King Street
Was it common for a Licensed Victualler to be responsible for more than 1 pub at a time?

Thanks for the information about the lost pubs website - I have never come across it!
I, too, have an ancestor connected to a pub in Bristol - and I found him on the website - and he is also linked to several pubs at once; maybe it was common. I would be interested to know what others think ..!
