Hi need help please .with look up.
from Manchester Archives and Local Studies. admission information Nell lane hospital withington.

i am trying to find the birth date of Ethel Bowers.i only have the date she died.which was 22 may 1949.nell lane hospital manchester.her address at that time would be 13 Ripon street greenheys manchester 15.her husband was Richard Bowers.

she died from TB.


I live in Ireland.so there no way i could vist the Archives and Local Studies.finding her birth
date would help in sending off for her birth cert.

Apologies cannot help with your question except to say the hospital is
Withington Hospital located on Nell Lane. Your name is that used locally a few years ago.

If you have access to a map, it is located on Princess Parkway, on the left travelling outwards in a southerly direction, just before Southern Cemetary which is on the right.

I did write to Manchester Archives and Local Studies.for help.they wrote back saying.

We do, however, have registers of patients going up to June 1948. The register M327/2/4/16 covers the period 1946-1948 and it may include admission information Ethel Bowers. which could help in finding her birthdate.
