Woolrich family

I wonder if anyone can find Martha Woolrich's parents names for me please. Martha states on the 1851 census she was born in Alpraham Cheshire. She was born in 1799 and married Thomas Palin on 26th October 1826 at Bunbury. I have tried to find her parents without any success. Her daughter Ann jane Palin was my gggrandmother. Thank you. I can't help directly, but there is a Robert WOOLRICH, born c1790, an unmarried Farmer living in Alpraham in the 1851 census who could perhaps be a brother/cousin of your Jane. Looking on the A2A website, there are mentions of WOOLRICH in Alpraham, specifically a Joseph who is a yeoman, dated 1767, a Thomas & John, dated 1819, both records held at Cheshire & Chester Archives.

I think you may have to consult the parish registers of Bunbury (includes Alpraham according to Genuki) to solve your problem. The LDS have microfilmed the parish registers and you could order them to view in situ at your local Family History Centre.

Following this Famil thro' the census by 1861 Martha a widow lives with son John b. 1826ish & gives her birth place as Shropshire.earlier she has it as Cheshire. Sorry I have to give it away there, mu eyes need to go to bed.
