Oh dear. The Glamorgan FHS Baptism Index shows 7 David Jones baptised in Swansea in 1814 alone, and several more in the vicinity around that time.
I think you are going to have to work steadily backwards from what you know, and try to get Mary's birth certificate.
You might also like to consider joining the Glamorgan FHS, which you can do via this site here (http://tinyurl.com/2xlfb2) and thus gain access to free searches in all the Society's parish register and census databases, as well as the chance to publish your quest free in the Society's quarterly journal.

Thank you Sue for looking into David for me.I would apply for Mary's birth certificate but I don't know her mothers name.I think I will join the family history society for Glamorgan.
Thanks again:)

What does Mary's marriage certificate give as David's occupation? It probably says miner, in which case you're still scuppered, but just in case it says Baptist Minister or engine driver.... :D

Could this be a BINGO moment?
Search for Mary Jones born Glamorgan in the Wales census and you get 4,000 hits. But I suddenly realised you said she got married in Yorkshire in 1862. I did a search in the English 1861 census for a Mary Jones born ca 1840 in Aberdare and it came up with
Class: RG9; Piece: 3681; Folio: 29; Page: 59
5 [Gunney?] Street, Darlington
David Jones 46 Heater Iron Works b Glamorganshire, Swansea
Euphemia Jones wife 30 b Scotland
Mary Jones dau 21 b Glamorganshire, Aberdare
Elizabeth Jones dau 4 b Scotland
Now given her age, Euphemia is obviously the second wife, but if you think this is your family, given a name like Euphemia, it should be easier to trace them backwards.

Hi,
I've managed to find Euphemia and David up in Scotland, have found the birth off thier daughter Elizabeth, they also had another daughter born in Yorkshire in 1863,the year after Mary married my great grandfather.
On the marriage certificate off Mary and Henry it gives David as a Millfurnace man,so i don't know if that helps me at all.
