Izzard George - 1871 Soldier

Ancestor George IZZARD b: 1850 is listed as a soldier in 1871 and from a brilliant web site The Asplin Military History Resources I have even found his service number etc. But I wondered what war there was in 1871 and whether I can get his service record. Details below:
1505 Private Izzard george 34th Foot (Cumberland) enlisted Hitchin 23 NOvember 1869 age 19. To army reserve 15 January 1873.

Any help or info would be great.
