I have seen this TV commercial a few times over the last few days and I finally got it the second time.

There are images of real people "stopped" while doing various activities and people keep on passing them by. The commentator says," If you or anyone you know has difficulty in reading and writing and/or suffers from illiteracy, don't let the rest of the world pass you by. Just look up LEARN in the Yellow Pages (our phone book) and call."

How in the world can some one look up a word if they can't read or write?:confused:

Don't these broadcasters ever watch their own commercials to see how silly they are?|soapbox|

I've seen adverts in the paper for reading and writing tuition if you have a literacy issue.

On a similar theme I get quite annoyed when I see the following, especially on "official" documents:
"Welsh language version available", written in English;
"also available in large print/ Braille" written in small print and poor colour differential;
etc, etc
