I'm looking for any newspaper articles relating to the following two hangings. However, I'm not sure what Journals or newspapers would have been current or read in or around the area of Scotterthorpe or Scotter, perhaps Gainsborough or Lincoln? Can anyone advise?

William Richards who died on the 8th February 1864 at Scotterthorpe aged 49 years. He "hanged himself being at the time of unsound mind". Information received from Cha.s Hy Holgate Coroner for County of Lincoln. Inquest held on the 10th February 1864. He was buried in the Parish of Scotter on the 11th February 1864.

George Richards who died on the 5th November 1879 at Scotterthorpe aged 57 years. He "hanged himself whilst in a fit of temporary insanity". Certificate received from Tho.s H Oldman Coroner for County of Lincoln. Inquest held on the 6th November 1879. He was buried in the Parish of Scotter on the 7th November 1879.

The only thing I could find that may help you is:

http://parishes.lincolnshire.gov.uk/Scotter/section.asp?docId=58757

but you probably have tried it. Rootsweb has newspaper listings as well.
