It looks like that you have found some details already from the geocities website. What other information are you after?

Hi, I am a descendant of Thomas and Maria Hughes who migrated to Australia on the Crusader in September 1839.
2 of their 8 children died on the Crusader during the trip out. They were Daniel, 4 and a half, who died of smallpox in October 1839 and his 1 year old sister Celia who died of "thrush as a result of smallpox" in November or December of 1839. So whether Celia can be said to be 1 of the 3 who died of smallpox I don't know ... personally I doubt it as I think the Master & Doctor would have been trying to minimise the deaths from smallpox.
Hope this helps ... Claire Hughes, Canberra

It seems that you have got your info mixed up somewhere! only five children came with them on the voyage, and all survived. The other 17 have either died as infants or remained in Ireland as adults, or came by other voyages. They were not on this ship.
Timothy Gannon & his wife Eleanor nee O'Byrne left Ireland with 17 children on Sep 1839 13 of these children died at sea 3 of them of small pox, I can't find any record of the deaths at sea, or even the passenger list of this ship.
You have indicated that you had found the passenger list on the NSW State records but that they have omitted the deaths for your family- that is incorrect, just that there were no deaths in your family - if you go through the whole list you will see where it has indicated the total of 13 who have died (I didn't do this, just enough to satisfy myself that deaths and the cause were included)
Go back to the list and look for yourself.
CAVANAGH Bridget - Died 14 Oct 1839 from Small Pox
FARRALY Rose - Died 3 Nov 1839 from Apoplexy
FLANNAGAN Stephen - Died 8 Nov 1839 from Tabes Mesenterica
FLANNAGHAN Joseph or FLANNAGAN; Died from Tabes Mesenterica 12 Dec 1839;
