Does anyone know if the the Boat Inn in Welford, Gloucestershire is still there I googled it but no luck it was run by a family member in around 1846

Still googling here... it must be a small place, all Googles lead to Stratford upon Avon!

Francis Frith (http://www.francisfrith.com/search/england/warwickshire/welford+on+avon/photos/welford+on+avon_photos.htm) has several old pictures of Boat Lane, Welford-on-Avon. Perhaps the lane was named after the inn!

you know its hardly changed there all my fathers relatives live around there nice site i will keep it :D

Having started off in the wrong county, I realised that this was in Gloucestershire by the thread title. :o However, the village is now nestling in Warwickshire (http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=57072).

There are some photographs (http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=2703242) showing the houses in Boat Lane. If it is anything like the village in which I live, some of the public houses are now private dwellings. So, the Boat Inn may be amongst them.

you might be right some inns were part of homes then would just like to have known
