I have been told by an elderly family member (101) that Nellie RICHARDSON (b 1890 in Plumstead) married a Rev P CURRELL in Finchley - the couple later went to Australia. I have not yet managed to find anything further about this couple but was wondering if there are any Currell researchers who know anything about them.

I have looked on the 1901 census online and the only P Currell I could find was Percy, age 11 born Finchley - I then looked on FreeBMD and found the birth of a Percy Richard Currell in Sept 1/4 1889 in the Barnet district (which includes Finchley).

Does anyone have access to the 1891 census, or images of the 1901 census, who could look up his family for me?

Or, is anyone researching the CURRELL family and has a marriage to my Nellie RICHARDSON in their tree?

Margaret

Here's Percy Currell and his family in the 1901 census -- living at 21 [looks like...] Stanhope Road in Finchley, Middlesex:

Name / Age / Birthplace / Relationship / Occupation
James Currell 51 Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England Head [occupation hard to read -- looks like...] Carryall [?]
Mary Currell 50 Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England Wife

Alice Currell 19 Finchley, Middlesex, England Daughter
Percy Currell 11 Finchley, Middlesex, England Son
John Currell 14 Finchley, Middlesex, England Son
Charles Currell 8 Finchley, Middlesex, England Son

I can send you the image if you like -- just let me know. If I find Percy's family on any other censuses I will post the results to you.

Wow! what an amazing response
Thank you Trish and Jane for all the census information - I now need to try to find the marriage of Percy and Nellie and then track down where they went to!

Thanks again
Happy new year to you both
Margaret
