Looking for William Streak

Can anyone please help, William streak b 18 Jun 1791 married 13 Sep 1815, Wargrave Berks, Elizabeth Louisa Cutler b 15 Oct 1797. I cannot find bapt register for him and think that he may be from another area. I do have a copy of marriage entry for them. Any additional information on their parents will be appreciated.

Hello Sandra,

There are a couple of entries in the Surnames Interest (http://www.berksfhs.org.uk/members-interests/memint-sm.htm) pages for Streak in the Berkshire Family History Society.

However, these are centred around Ashampstead, about 18 miles away from Wargrave, and Hampstead Norris, which is further.

By the way, how is it that you know with accuracy that William's birth was 18 June 1791?

William Samuel Streak b. 1791
William Samuel Streak married Elizabeth Louisa Cutler b 20 Sept.1797 in Wargrave. They immigrated to South Africa as members of Thornhill's party of 1820 settlers.

Maybe it's you, can't tell. If not, maybe they can help.

Yes its me trying to find William Streak
William is my ancestor who left UK as 1820 settler.
I/we have the full record as of the time they entered South Africa but have not been able to find any record of him in Uk, the only entry I managed to find is his marriage entry in Wargrave, Berks and have a copy of that, Elizabeth Louisa Cutler I have batism entry, parents was Peter and rebecca Cutler.
I do have a list of the parish register for wargrave but his date of birth do not fit. Originally I thought he may have been Streake but that dont fit either.
Brother arriving with William and Elizabeth was James Streak born 1801 - still research to be done - he had no issue.
