I can't get past these brick walls. As much as I look for info I'm stumped. Any help or suggestions would be welcome.

Taylor from Dorset - Tyneham - Steeple - Church Knowle
I'm stuck on Thomas Taylor Abt. 1743 from Church Knowle married Mary unknown.

Hambling from Suffolk - Beccles William George Hambling Abt. 1819 married Mary A Boyse


Mixter or Mexter from Essex - Dovercourt William Mexter married Mary A sorry no other info

Hallo oldhippy,

I think I found your William Mixter and Mary A in the 1881 census. Was he a bargeman b Dovercourt, living in Harwich, they were both in their early thirties, oldest child a 4yr old?

This looks like their marriage on freebmd;

Mar 1872 Mexter William Tendring 4a 288
(and on the same page Mary Ann Bolton)

If you order the marriage certificate, it will give you the names and occupations of the fathers of the bride and groom, which will get you back another generation.

This looks like it as I know from other info I have the place names fit in with the Hambling family too.

Any luck anyone with Thomas Taylor Abt. 1743 from Church Knowle.

This is the one that is causing a big problem in me being able to trace my family tree.
