Edwards,Rose &Powell

Hi
I am looking for info on the Edwards family of Charlton Kings,Cheltenham.
I have gone back to William Edwards 1771 but have now got stuck.
The Edwards were plasterers.
Also looking for the families that married into the Edwards.
These are Robert Rose 1787, Sarah Powell 1790 , Mary Weeler. Add to that
Joseph Powell 1752 and Mary Hawling 1756 of Bishop Cleeve.
I have now come up against the 'Brick Wall'
I am unable to get to the records office.
Any help gratefully received.

7 January 1832 Mary EDWARDS, aged 2 weeks
30 November 1834 Robert EDWARDS, aged 1 day
28 April 1836 William EDWARDS, aged 52
31 May 1838 Elizabeth EDWARDS, aged 26
21 June 1838 Emma EDWARDS, aged 18 months
11 November 1840 George EDWARDS, aged 3 months
27 January 1840 Sarah EDWARDS, aged 75
10 May 1845 Mary EDWARDS, aged 21
7 March 1851 Louisa Frances EDWARDS, aged 62
6 March 1851 May EDWARDS, aged 73
25 September 1851 William Henry EDWARDS, aged 7 months

And from Bishops Cleeve:

2 September 1844 Charles POWELL, aged 43
29 December 1819 Ann HAWLING, aged 67, widow, of Stoke
4 July 1819 William HAWLING, aged 64, of Aston upon Carrant

There are 2 HAWLING of Bishops Cleeve wills on the Gloucestershire Archives Database, Ann & Thomas, which you could send for if they are connected to you.

Re Joseph Powell and Mary Hawling, I have the following around the top of my tree:

Joseph Powell born 1705 iron acton married Hannah Clark,
Children Mary born abt 1733, Ann born 1734 and Joseph bapt 25 may 1746 – Yate.

Joseph married Mary Hawling
Children of above are: Hannah born 1792, Elizabeth born 1790 and Joseph 1787.

I can then, through the last Joseph, take the Powell family back to my own grandmother, I have a few notes which include several Sarah's, but am still putting the tree together so havent placed them yet, can you either post what details you have or send me a message with those details, and I will try and fill in any gaps I can.

My interest in the Powell & Hawling families comes from the marriage of Sarah Powell(1790) to Robert Rose. Their daughter Jane in turn married Robert Edwards.My Great- Grandmother was an Edwards.
We hope we have this right.
Here are the names & dates we have:
Joseph Powell-dob abt 1752 at Bishop Cleeve
dom 10/9/1778 at Bishop Cleeve to Mary Hawling
dod 1832 Charlton Kings,Cheltenham.
Mary Hawling-dob abt 1756 at Bishop Cleeve
dom as above
dod abt 1827 at Charlton Kings
Only have found 2 children for them.They are :
Sarah Powell-dob abt 1790
Amy or Amey Powell-abt 1795

Sarah Powell christened 7/2/1790
married Robert Rose 10/4/1809
Children are:
William Powell Rose abt 1816
Sarah Rose abt 1819
Elizabeth Rose abt 1822
James Rose abt 1828
