Hello all; this is a shameless request for a wee slice of someone's library or archive time. A few weeks ago was the 100th wedding anniversary of my grandparents, George Henry BROWNESS and Mabel Amelia HIGGINS, who were married on May 8, 1908, at Wesley's Chapel on Ker Street, Plymouth Dock. George was an RN Sick Berth Steward, then with HMS Devonshire, who later came ashore to work at the hospital. Sadly, Mabel died of Bright's Disease (now curable) less than six years later. I suspect that either set of parents may have announced the wedding in a local paper (Mabel's dad James M was a local tailor). If anyone has access to local newspaper archives and is feeling generous, could you please check for me (I'm in Canada, so it's not feasible from here)? Many, many thanks!
