Hi everyone, can anyone help with my puzzle please?

My great Grandmother Emily Jones was born 31/12/1880 in Mold, Flintshire.
She is on the 1881 census in Mold, Flintshire with her Mother Mary Jones as head of the family ( her husband John born Llanelly, is in Ross on Wye at that time ). I don't know why the rest of the family were in Flintshire as the parents came from South Wales.

Also Emily has siblings:-
Elizabeth, Sarah, Hannah all born in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire in 1871 & 1873, 1879 and a sister Miriam born in Aberdare, Glamorgan in 1864.

I managed to find Elizabeth's birth certificate and Mary her mother is named as ...."Mary Jones formerly Evans late Jones". On Emily's birth certificate 2 years later, she is just names as Mary Jones formerly Evans.

So Mary had been married to another "Jones" before John Jones.
John was born abt 1847 in Llanelly Carmarthenshire, Mary was born abt 1842 in Carmarthen town, Carmarthenshire.

I just cannot find Miriam's birth or who her father was. I thought it may be Mary's first husband because of the large difference in ages.
And to complicate things, no birth certificates can be found for Sarah and Hannah in Yorkshire either.

And as for the marriages, I really don't know where to look. Any advice please from all the experts on here.

Miriam Jones - I have found these likely candidates. Although you have said that she was born in 1864, if this has been taken from a census age, the year of birth could be one year either way.

Aberdare is covered by the Merthyr Tydfil registration district:

Births Mar 1863:
JONES Miriam Merthyr T 11a 322
JONES Miriam Merthyr T 11a 293

Births Sep 1863:
JONES Miriam Merthyr T. 11a 294

Births Dec 1865:
Jones Miriam Merthyr T. 11a 384

The only Mary EVANS I can find on the 1851 census who was born c1842 in Carmarthen is an Anne Mary EVANS daughter of Anne EVANS, a widow. Perhaps she was known as Mary to differentiate from her mother???

HO107/2473, folio 170, page 28
Quay Street, St Peter, Carmarthen

Anne EVANS Head Widow 30 Annuitant Middlesex St Andrews
Anne Mary do Daur 9 Scholar Carmarthsh Carmarthen
William Martin do Son 5 do do do
Louisa Maria do Daur 3 do do
+ 1 servant

This Anne Mary is still in the 1861 of Carmarthen living with her mother and siblings. Perhaps she was married under her full name of Ann/e Mary EVANS.
