Hi,
I've just got hold of a marriage certificate, the wedding took place at Princes Street synagogue, 1890. I've done a bit of Googling and I'm still unsure which synagogue this is. Husband and wife were living at Old Montague Court at the time of marriage so is this Old Montague St. synagogue or the one on Princelet St?

Princelet Street seems to have originally been called Princes Street

The Princelet St Synagogue is the Princes St Synagogue. It is still there apparently although the building is sooo fragile it is only opened a couple of times a year to limited numbers of visitors.

Hi,
Yes, I've been checking it out. The building is now the Museum of Immigration but, as you say, in need of considerable repair.
As an ex-architecture student it was a fantastic discovery. I got quite happily sidetracked for several hours.
