Would sks please try a look-up for a James ECCLESTON, wife Mary Ann (nee Holton) . I found them in the IGI, (1881) but all it told me was 96 Church Street, Layton With Warbeck, Lancashire.
I have no more information than that, sorry.

You say that you found then in the 1881 census for Layton With Warbeck, Lancashire. How old were they? Where were they born? What were the occupations?
This will assist those who can do look ups for you.

Many thanks to Procat & Peter. That's why you're both Senior & I'm Junior!! Will remember to note the Ref's numbers & Letters next time! Once again Cheers..What I'm trying to find is maybe her (Mary) mother living with them. Her name is Sophia Holton. She was a widow in 1844, so I was hoping she would be living there. Next stop is to try for 1861 & just keep going back.
