Hello All.
I haven't started to research my family tree yet - there just never seems to be enough time! I'll probably wait until I'm retired.
At the moment I'm mainly interested in general aspects of descent and population movements, both in ancient times and in the industrial period. I love the 'Who Do You Think You Are' programme and am fascinated by the often circuitous routes by which people came to settle in various places.
I'll probably be doing a lot of lurking, so be warned - you are being watched :D
Speaking of which: I should probably have done more lurking before I joined - I've just discovered there's another member with almost exactly the same user name as the one I chose! And there was me thinking I was being clever... :o
