removed this post - as the birth I found was not your Marion Munro, she married the Fielding chap in 1886, and her death was found with that surname in my later post.
So, there is no Marion registered at Creswick, but not uncommon for those days for a child not to be registered.

The reverse 1887 marriage entry of Marion MUNRO shows that Angus MCKENZIE was born in Geelong, Victoria.
There is this birth reg .. but only guesswork.
Angus MCKENZIE, birth reg at CHILWELL, 1859, reg: 7909
father: Alex
mother: Isabella MCSWAIN
Alex and Isabella did not marry in Victoria. They did have another child registered at Geelong.
Marion and Angus MCKENZIE have children in Victoria up until 1894, but they are up on the border at Swan Hill so could have crossed into NSW.

Now I have found a death for Marion as a FIELDING, 1955
father; Alexander MUNRO
mother: Christian MCCOWAN
age 90, reg NORT (probably Northcote)
reg no: 8698
I believe that I have spotted Angus and Marion having some kids in NSW - 1899 to 1905 Narrandera and Jerilderie.
There is a death for an Angus in Narrandera in 1952, mother Isabella, nothing more. And there is a death for a Marion too, 1945, parents Donald & Margaret. Hard to tell without ages, these could be children.
I hope that I have helped a little, and not muddied the waters too much!

Sorry about all the posts :D but at last I think I have found your girl's birth, transcribed as Maria. And parents match the forenames given on the death at Narrandera, NSW.
Maria MUNRO, birth registered CRESWICK, Victoria, 1866
father: Donald MUNRO
mother: Margaret NICHOLSON
reg no: 14210
or there is Mary Ann MUNRO, birth reg same place in 1869, same parents.
reg: 8009

Hi Christine
Thank you for the posts , the last one entered at 04.23pm is a big help to me I had no info on these 2 Girls. The info on Marion Munro doesnot feel right, but I have stenceled her in the tree for future referance.
And by the way thank you for your reply to my post dated 19/4/08, sorry it has taken me so long to reply.

Well it is possible that Mary Ann is Marion - and the registrar misheard the name at the time of registration (Marry Ann). With accents foreign to the writer this can easily happen. If the informant was illiterate then he/she would not notice.
Maria does have a different sound, but if it is bad handwriting then it could be indexed wrongly.
So, is this your family line? Donald Munro and Margaret Nicholson? as there was another child in 1872.

Hi Cristine I see your point with the posable mix up "could happen".
Donald Munro and margaret Nicholson are/were mt Great Grandperants Mother's side.
Whilst Iam writting this post, in regards to the post I entered on 19/4/08, could you please help me Iam tryingto find the Children of these people and there children's children. I have no hits with bdm,Vic. as there Birth records end at 1907. I hope I have made myself clear enough here in what Iam searching for.
Thanks Heaps Stan B

Hi Stan,
the third child showing in the Victoria Pioneer Index
Ann Catherine MUNRO, birth reg at 'BARK', 1872
father: Donald
mother: Margaret NICHOLSON
reg:7162
Just clearing up any confusion I may have caused with posting as I was searching - should have done the searching first, before posting anything about the other Marion Munro. There was the one born about the same time to Alexander Munro and Christina McCowan; that is the one who married Mr Fielding. It seems clear that it may be your Marion that married Angus McKenzie - the purchase of the marriage would confirm it, as the parents will be given. (most usually, not like the NSW ones of the same period)
Also, the 1872 birth certificate of Ann Catherine may list previous children by name and ages - they usually do by 1872, and then you can see if Marion is listed instead of Maria or Mary Ann. Will also give the place and date of marriage of Donald and Margaret if you need a clue for that. And it would also confirm if it is your Donald and Margaret by their birthplaces and ages.
I shall have a look at your other posting mentioned later today. EDIT - I have already responded to that posting with lots of bdm entries, but I shall have another look :) EDIT AGAIN - I realize what you want now, to follow the siblings downwards as well?
:)
