Thought it about time that I posted my surname interests just in case there is someone else out there researching the same families.

WILSON from Clay Cross (North Wingfiled parish) and Ashover
BACON from Clay Cross
WOODHOUSE from Clay Cross and Matlock.

I have all the censuses and BMD available.

I have a Sarah Bacon in my tree who marries a John Mitchell on 09 Aug 1777 in Bolsover. Not sure of her birth tho, there is a Sarah Bacon on IGI christened on 02 May 1756 in Chesterfield, father Joseph Bacon. But this is a member submitted entry so cannot be sure, any link????

Not my Bacon's, at one time I thought there was 4 different families in Clay Cross alone, down to 3 now. My line dried up in 1790-1800 with William in Nuneation (he never stated the same year and there is 7 with his name born there in that time frame).
